The lesson today made me feel appreciated because now in our generation things are so updated and everything is more organized and ran in a certain way. I was surprised that socrates was charged with corruption of youth and impiety and 500 male citizens found him guilty and was sentenced to death by drinking poison hemlock. Socrates also had the opportunity to escape from jail because his friends came to get him out but he refused to leave. Also Athens attracted brilliant thinkers and victors from around the world shared their knowledge of astronomy and the teachings in Greece mostly were based around the greek gods and their teachings. Socrates also fought for his life after drinking the poison before his death.
