- Christianity is the largest practiced religion in the world and has around 2.2 billion adherents. People refer to them as Christians. The geographic location is Europe, Southern Africa, and the Americas. The denominations are the Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church, Protestants, Lutherans, Methodists, Baptists, Anglicans, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and Episcopalians. The founder of Christianity is Jesus Christ also know as the Abrahamic in origin. The holy book that Christians used was called the Bible. The beliefs of Christianity were that Jesus was both human and Devine- the son of god; he led a virtuous life; he was crucified, died, buried, and resurrected; he ascended into heaven where he reigns with god the father. The clergy is that the pope is the head of the Catholic Church, priests are local authorities. 

- Islam is the 2rd largest religion in the world with 1.5 billion adherents. People refer to them as muslims. The geographic location is Indonesia, Middle East, and North Africa. The denominations are sunnies and shiites. The founder is Muhammad and there holy book is called the Quran. They believe in monotheism and the 5 pillars which are (testimony, prayer, alms-giving, fasting, pilgrimage). Muslims see their purpose in life as serving and submitting to Allah which is god. 

- Hinduism is the 3rd largest religion with a total of 1.1 billion adherents. People refer to them as Hindus. Their geographic location is India and Nepal. Their holy book is called the Vedas- ertesnal truths revealed to ancient sages; composed in verse form (meant to be sung and easily memorized). Their founder is no distinct founder but it is the oldest religion and it's more of a way of life.

- Buddhism has about 500 million to 1.5 billion adherents. People refer to them as buddhists. Their geographic location is Southeast Asia, China, Nepal, Japan, and there are about 1.2 million buddhists in the United States. The founder is Siddartha Gautama. The denominations are Tibeton, Zen, Theravada, Amidist. This religion also practices the 4 noble truths. This religion also practices and follows the eightfold path. 

- Judaism is the 9th largest religion which has about 14-18 minion adherents. People refer to them as jews. Their geographic is Israel and the United States. The founder is Abraham. The holy book is called the Torah. Their beliefs are ethnical monotheism- god is one, and concerned with the actions of  Humankind. Examples are the 10 commandments and the 13 principles of faith.
